Hey Greg,
It's been a pretty quiet
week for me but pretty busy for Greg and Penny. Penny has an exhibition
this coming week at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham
so she has been very busy preparing lots of Playchutes and accessories
to show and hopefully to sell at the exhibition. So I don't have
much news to tell you this week except to say that Peter next door
came around yesterday with some photographs which he took at the
rugby match I wrote about a few weeks ago. I have asked Greg to
scan one so that I could send it to you. You can see that it is
Greg along with me and two other guys (they sometimes call them
"chaps" in this country!!) The younger man in the middle
is named Tim and he is a very nice man who lives with Pete and Sally's
daughter, Anya. (You will remember that Sally is Penny's business
partner and Pete is her husband). The other chap on the right is
Pete himself and then you can see me! This picture was taken in
the bar just before the match and we are all drinking beer. I wasn't
sure that I would be allowed to have a beer so I was quite happy
to have a Coke or something but Greg said it would be all right
provided no one could see that it was me drinking it (you have to
be 18 in order to drink alcohol in Britain). So, Pete got the drinks
and the others sort of stood around me so that no one could see.
I tell you what - a pint of beer for me and the rest of the afternoon
is a bit of a haze but I do remember meeting some very pretty young
women and we all had a good laugh.
Greg says I can go on
another trip next week so I am looking forward to that. He says
it will be quite a long ways away so I will write about that next
week.
Your pal,
Flat Stanley
