The Adventures of Flat Stanley

Hey Greg!

I've had a good week this week and even got to go out to dinner twice! I've attached a couple of photographs showing the people with whom I went to dinner and you should even recognise some of them!

The first is a photograph of your Aunt Penny (who I guess you will recognise). The woman on the left-hand side of the photo is her business partner, Sally. I know that you know that Penny and Sally run SeamStress and that they make children's play parachutes. She tells me that she even brought one to Lake George once but I think you were probably too young to remember it.

The woman in the middle of the photo is named Sue Heap and she is a good friend of Penny and Sally's as well as being a very successful illustrator of children's books and she writes books as well! I thought it was pretty cool since this is a project about writing, to actually have a photograph of someone who writes and illustrates for a living! I have also attached an illustration of the cover of one of her books - Cowboy Baby. When she came for dinner I asked her to read it to me and she did - it's a cute story but a little too young for you and me.

Then, the second photograph is at Zoe and Ellen's as you can see. Greg and Penny went down there for dinner on Wednesday and Zoe and Ellen were very interested in me and how I came to be here with Greg and Penny. Naturally they wanted to have their picture taken with me and they asked me to send you their very best wishes - they did enjoy meeting you in the summer, they said.

Well, that's about it for this week. Give my love to everyone.

Your pal,

Flat Stanley
