Hey Greg,
Final picture of this
part of my adventure, I'm afraid. Your uncle Greg and aunt Penny
fly to Los Angeles tomorrow and Greg says I have to be packed in
the suitcase. It's OK - at least it won't be as long as I was inside
that envelope when I was coming to Britain all those months ago.
But, before I left Britain
I wanted to send you the photo with me and Kofi Annan, the Secretary
General of the United Nations. You can see that we are just outside
10 Downing Street in London which is where Tony Blair, the British
Prime Minister, lives. (It's the equivalent of the White House in
Washington. Tony Blair also has another really big house in the
country called Chequers which I guess is similar to Camp David where
the President goes sometimes).
Anyway, Kofi Annan was
having a meeting with Tony Blair and I was able to listen as well
as let them have my views on the current situation. Both Tony Blair
and Kofi Annan were very glad that I was able to help them out with
things.
The funny thing was though,
that when Kofi Annan was talking with the newspaper and television
reporters outside number 10, he forgot he was holding me! You can
see that I am just about slipping out of his hands but luckily he
caught me again before I fell.
Well, it's been fun here
in Britain but I will be glad to get back home again (although Greg
tells me it's still really, really cold at home. It's been sunny
and warm here for the past week or so).
So, I'll see you soon.
Your pal,
Flat Stanley
