The Adventures of Flat Stanley

Hey Greg,

How's it going? I've had a pretty good week.

I was a bit worried because Penny and Greg didn't seem to be getting ready for Christmas and I was scared that maybe they didn't have Christmas in England. It turns out that none of their sons are going to be here for Christmas so Penny and Greg decided they would probably just skip the whole thing! But then, on Friday, their son Nick came over and he brought some presents so I guess it might be all right after all. (By the way, have you told Santa Claus that I will be here rather than with you in Hanover - otherwise he might not know where to bring my presents). The first picture is of Nick and me having a chat over a cup of coffee. He told me a couple of good jokes.

Then, after he had gone, Penny started to make some cookies (they actually call them biscuits over here - do you believe that!) which she is going to give away to people in the village it seems. The second picture is of me having a taste of some lemon cookies which were very nice, I can tell you. And before you ask, yes she did say I could have a taste.
Then, last night (on Saturday) we went over to the next door neighbour's house and Greg and Penny drank lots of wine and ate a lot of "biscuits" (cookies really). Fortunately, I didn't drink too much but just to prove that they do have Christmas here after all, I climbed the Christmas tree and asked Greg to take a photo of me.

Well, that's about it for this time - I will write again soon.

Your pal,

Flat Stanley
