A man and an ostrich walk into a restaurant. The waitress asks, “What will it be?”<\/p>\n
The man replied “I\u2019ll have a burger and a coke.”<\/p>\n
“And you?”<\/p>\n
“I’ll have the same,” the ostrich replies.<\/p>\n
They finish their meal and pay.<\/p>\n
“That will be $4.50,\u201d the waitress says.<\/p>\n
The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact amount. They do this every day until Friday.<\/p>\n
“The usual?” she asks.<\/p>\n
“No, today is Friday. I’ll have steak and a coke.”<\/p>\n
“Me too.” says the ostrich. They finish and pay. “That will be $10.95”<\/p>\n
The man reaches in and pulls out the exact amount again just like all week.<\/p>\n
The waitress is dumb-founded. “How is it that you always have the exact amount?”<\/p>\n
“Well,” says the man. “I was cleaning my attic one day and I found a dusty lamp. I rubbed it and a genie appeared.<\/p>\n
“Wow!” said the waitress. “What did you wish for?”<\/p>\n
“I asked that when I needed to pay for something, the exact amount would appear in my pocket.”<\/p>\n
“Amazing! Most people would ask for a million dollars. But what’s with the ostrich?”<\/p>\n
“Well,” said the man. “I also asked for a chick with long legs.”<\/p>\n
A man mentioned to his landlord about the tenants in the apartment over his. \u201cMany a night they stamp on the floor and shout till midnight.\u201d<\/p>\n
When the landlord asked if it bothered him, he replied, \u201cNot really, for I usually stay up and practice my trumpet till about that time most every night anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n
A young woman visits her parents and brings her fianc\u00e9 to meet them. After an elaborate dinner, the mother tells her husband to find out about the young man.<\/p>\n
The father invites the fianc\u00e9e to his library for a drink. \u201cSo what are your plans?\u201d the father asks the young man.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am a Torah scholar.\u201d He says.<\/p>\n
\u201cA Torah scholar, Hmmm,\u201d the father says. \u201cAdmirable, but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in, as she is accustomed to?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI will study,\u201d the young man said, and God will provide for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she deserves?\u201d asks the father.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will concentrate on my studies,\u201d the young man replies, \u201cGod will provide for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd children?\u201d asks the father. \u201cHow will you support children?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t worry, sir, God will provide,\u201d replies the fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n
The conversation continues like this, and each time the father questions, the young idealist insist that God will provide.<\/p>\n
Later, the mother asks, \u201cHow did it go, Honey?\u201d<\/p>\n
The father answers, \u201cHe has no job and no plans, but the good news is he thinks I\u2019m God.\u201d<\/p>\n
